The romance of this private, foggy wood is overwhelming. Although loving couples can find bliss among the tall hardwoods, the obscurity of the location can cause fear to creep up the spines of mares, for they know that a less deserving lover could be waiting and watching from the smoky shadows.

Upon entering this hushed forest, one is immediately aware of its past. Birdsong is silenced by the heavy, lingering scent of death. It is true that this rolling forest, and its many groves and clearings, have played host to much bloodshed over the years. Even the white trees can look like bones to the wary fighter.

An assortment of high meadows, deep in the hidden alpine valleys of the southern mountains. In the birthing season, bright flowers wave a warm welcome to new life. Cool mountain lakes provide pure drinking water, as well as a birthing place for kelpies.

It's dark here, with all the flying sand whipped up in the fierce wind. With nothing to stop it in this open wasteland, the wind can get strong enough to drive sediment into flesh. It's cold here, too. Sandur is technically in Ledovaca, but no one really wants this hinterland. Even when the rest of the region melts in summer, Sandur always seems to stay frozen, its braided glacial rivers still.
But this is also a magical place, some say. This is where visions come from, where equines meet the Creator. And for many, this is the last sight. Those who wish to die, who wish to sink into death peacefully, come here. Their cold, bare bones stick out of the windswept sand.

This taiga is a land for only the wise. Cold winters can be unforgivable, but the summers are colorful and brilliant. Fortunately, Earth equines possess the power to create plant life, giving them an edge against the frigid winters. These natural healers are grounded souls, who's hearts rest with the peaceful planet beneath them. The strong and the weak mingle within the boggy tundra and braided rivers that cross the region, leaving Earth as the peaceful, quiet element, who's power remains largely untested.

Far to the west lies the sundried deserts of Pozaria. Ruled by Fire, these red landscapes seem alien and bare to outsiders. However, the powerful equines of the Fire element know the unforgiving badlands well, and for good reason. Without intellect and sense, these regions are impossible to survive in. Fire equines are not afraid of a cactus's spines.

Somehow, Shadow wormed their way into the better half of the Earth-owned territories. Despite the freezing winter, these lands are quite desirable. The boreal spruce provides shelter from the weather, and the moist, marine climate lends great foraging. However, Shadow equines appreciate its dark, misty undergrowth and quiet serenity. Little sunlight pierces the thick needled canopy, allowing the night-loving equus to rule throughout the day under the cover of darkness.

This barren world is as still as its ruling element, Ice. The howl of the unforgiving wind is broken only by the thunder of glaciers scraping against the land, and the springtime groan of melting ice. It would seem impossible to live in this desolate environment, but the Ice horses love it. Never would they give up the freedom of the North. They can find enough nourishment in coastal lichen and enough moisture in the snow to survive, and so the Ice horses flourish.
