Scarlet Mesa These craggy badlands seem scorched and dead at first glance, but Fire elementals know better. Within the unwelcoming desert, Fire equines have found the most hospitable places, high, breezy spots with precipitation. Scarlet Mesa is the best. Among the cacti and sagebrush, springs can be found allowing water to the thirsty. The cliff sides host several species of savory brush, allowing a hidden buffet to the brave Fire souls who seek it. Misstep Canyon This deep canyon has had an unfortunate past. It is named for the steep, narrow paths down to the riverbed from the rim. One false step can cause death here. Still, many find it worth the risk, for at the bottom of the canyon there is abundant food and clean, albeit silty water. It is cool in the canyon during summer, but warm in the winter, making it a beautiful, dangerous home. Moderator: CactusFlower |
